Gathering Wisdom for Shared Success,CAPIECE Successfully Holds Seminar on Planni

    2026-03-14

To implement the 15th Five-Year Plan and enhance the appeal and influence of Chinese civilization, the China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Cultural Exchanges (CAPIECE) successfully held a seminar on planning the "A Day of Chinese Lifestyle" series of events on March 13.

More than 20 experts, scholars and international student representatives from cultural and tourism authorities, universities, industrial associations, cultural institutions and media in Beijing attended the seminar, where they conducted in-depth discussions and pooled wisdom on the draft event plan.

The seminar was presided over by Niu Yuda, Deputy Secretary-General of CAPIECE. Liu Jiang, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of CAPIECE, attended and delivered a speech.

He pointed out that topics related to "Becoming Chinese" have been gaining popularity on overseas social media platforms. Daily Chinese details such as drinking hot water, practicing traditional Chinese wellness, and wearing cotton slippers have attracted wide attention from overseas netizens. This proves that the down-to-earth, "small but beautiful" cultural experiences serve as the softest yet most powerful bridge for cross-cultural understanding.

Secretary-General Liu Jiang introduced the considerations behind the "A Day of Chinese Lifestyle" series:

To enable foreign friends to perceive a true, three-dimensional and comprehensive China, and experience the charm of a country where tradition and modernity integrate.

To explore new paths of "small but beautiful" people-to-people diplomacy, encouraging participants to become civilian envoys of Sino-foreign cultural exchanges.

To practice the Association’s mission of promoting two-way economic and cultural exchanges between China and the world, and contribute to closer people-to-people bonds.

To ensure the events are innovative, distinctive and effective, he put forward seven key dimensions for project planning and implementation:

Strategic Vision: Closely align with the national cultural powerhouse strategy in the 15th Five-Year Plan to enhance the international communication capacity and influence of Chinese culture.

Cultural Depth: Explore and present the cultural connotation behind daily life, so that participants not only know what but also why.
Professional Precision: Strive for thoroughness and excellence in route design, interpretation, safety and all other details.

International Reach: Design universally appealing activities while respecting individual differences.

Experiential Intensity: Provide high-quality, concentrated and unforgettable experiences within a limited time.

Communication Impact: Encourage participants to share and create online and offline communication momentum.

Human Warmth: Focus on people-to-people connections, highlight a people-oriented approach and foster a warm and friendly atmosphere.

He also expressed hope that guests would speak freely and offer valuable insights, continue to support the project in the follow-up stage, and use this platform connecting government, academia, industry and media to seek cooperation opportunities, jointly building the project into a vivid showcase of a credible, lovely and respectable image of China.

Subsequently, a commissioner of the Association reported on the draft plan covering the background, significance and design of the events. Guests from various fields actively offered suggestions:
