“Exploring China's Time-Honored brands” 5th Event was Held

Beijing, July 15, 2025 - Summer is in full swing, and elegance is in the air. The 5th event of “Exploring China's Time-Honored Brands”, co-organized by China Association for the Promotion of International Economic and Cultural Exchanges (CAPIECE), China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA), and Beijing Capital Culture and Creative Properties Co., Ltd. 

The Inheritance and Innovation of Time-Honored Brands

In the session of “World of Strings - Craftsmanship Code”, the guests went into the exhibition hall of HSINGHAI's history and technology to experience the 76 years of craftsmanship heritage. From the birth of New China's first piano in 1949, to the 15-foot piano that witnessed a major historical moment, to the world-renowned craftsmanship, the history of HSINGHAI unfolded. The restored model of New China's first piano and the piano exhibits played by Lang Lang in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games silently spoke of HSINGHAI's eternal guardianship of craftsmanship and deep affection for its cultural roots. Stepping into the master workshop, guests observed the piano production line and witnessed the rigor of 88 precision processes: the millimeter-level precision of the CNC soundboard machining center and the “golden ear” skill of the technician's hand-tuning, all of which demonstrated the perfect fusion of industrialized standards and craftsmanship. James Abbott, an acoustic physicist from the U.S., improvised a song on the master piano and mesmerized the audience with his melodious melody.

The “Silk and Bamboo Music Instruments Exploring and Handmade” session brought guests into the world of traditional Chinese folk music. In the National Music Workshop, a wide range of folk instruments such as guzheng, yangqin, pipa, etc. were displayed, demonstrating the miracle of wood being transformed into the sound of music through hundreds of procedures. Guests touched the restored ancient musical instruments “zhu” and “zheng” and listened to the ancient sounds that had traveled through thousands of years. In the hulusi handcraft experience, everyone tried to glue, assemble, bind the threads, tune, and learn the fingering under the guidance of the teacher, and played “Little Star” together. The clear sound of silk and bamboo flowed, allowing the guests not only to appreciate the unique charm of ethnic musical instruments, but also to touch the deep roots of the Chinese music culture through the handmade.

At the end of the event, the organizers presented the “Folk Music Experience Officer” certificates to the participants, inscribing this cross-border musical memory and friendship.
